Covid Update as of 3rd December 2021

It’s a challenging time for us all and we are trying our best to be a step ahead of things, keep calm as well as manage life as usual.

Bijonei has decided to operate under the traffic light system as stated by the New Zealand Government, so by law, all staff, contractors, members and guests over the age of 12 need to be vaccinated when visiting our salon.

We are pro-choice and understand that vaccination is a personal decision. However, we regard the health and safety of our Bijonei community as being of paramount importance, therefore we believe operating under this traffic light system is our best chance at keeping our Bijonei community safe.

Furthermore it gives our Guests certainty that Bijonei will continue to remain open, regardless of possible changes that may happen from time to time as we move forward in the future, living with Covid.

What do we expect from YOU the client…

  • If you are unwell, please stay at home.
  • Please come alone to your appointment as our waiting area is reduced.
  • Upon arriving at the salon you will be asked a series of questions . If there is a negative outcome your appointment will need to be rescheduled, sorry.
  • If you are late your appointment may not take place due to level 2 strict time constraints.
  • Please use the hand sterilisers provided before entering the salon and periodically throughout your service in the salon.
  • Please also be aware that your details will be kept on record (as they always are), but for contact tracing purposes in compliance with the government regulations and be handed over to a government agency should they need it.
  • Unless you have a mask exemption, we require everyone over 12 to wear a mask in salon for your whole service.

Our existing rules are as follows:

  • Staff will be wearing PPE where necessary and you may bring your own mask if you would rather though we will have some available for your use.
  • We are unable to supply refreshments or magazines, to help limit the amount of touch points within the salon, please feel free to bring your own. We also have free wifi available if you have a device to use.
  • Every cape will be washed in between each service.
  • Hand washing and sanitisation between each client.
  • Full sanitisation of tools, brushes, service area, basin, in between each clients service/use.
  • We will still be offering contactless product delivery and pickup.

How can I get a Vaccination Pass?

We are more than happy to reschedule your appointment until either regulations change or your vaccination status is updated.

Will all your staff be vaccinated?

Yes all our staff and contractors who are present in the salon will be fully vaccinated.

Do I have to show my vaccine pass on every visit?

Yes, at this stage we won’t be recording your details on any files so please have your pass ready to scan once you have checked in on arrival at Bijonei.

Why aren’t you allowing unvaccinated people to visit your salon?

By law, we can only allow vaccinated staff, contractors, members and guests to enter our salon space.
